Maryrose Roque
Maryrose Roque, a budding writer in the Health and Wellness section, joined Suite101 on April 23, 2009. Being a TESOL-certified English trainer, athlete and personal fitness trainer, this lady is a Jack of All Trades.
Known as Shandy Roque by her learners and clients, she is currently a part time English trainer and personal fitness trainer. Having practiced Aikido for ten years, she has assisted in several classes and workshops. At the same time, she trains with her university's Judo club. At the same time, she is also a Level 1 scuba diver. Being a person who loves trying new things, she has taken classes in archery, marksmanship and arnis.
Believe it or not, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Engineering. But, upon realizing that this is not a field she is passionate about, she took her Diploma in Exercise and Sports Science. After attaining her diploma, she co-authored several Health Education books and Physical Education books for High School students.
